As a new association, GRA will rely heavily upon the talents and contributions of many selfless volunteers. Many of those volunteer opportunities will come at the committee level. If you are passionate about the government relations profession, want to get involved in non-profit service, and join a GRA committee, then we invite you to send an email to info@GRAssociation.org to express your interest and get started. Available committees include:
The Annual Conference committee will be composed of members charged with helping to plan the association's yearly conference, arrange sessions and speakers, line-up sponsors, work with GRA's Association Management
Company, and ensure a successful event.
Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisers will support the Board of Directors and other Committees of GRA. Members will help grow GRA, be given supporting assignments that will enhance their career, give them experience with association board activities, and will put them in direct consideration for future Board of Director vacancies.
The Ethics Committee will devise, explain, and promote the ethical conduct of GR practitioners and general practices within the field of government relations, champion responsible ethics and conduct, and offer guidance within the association.
The Events Committee will be comprised of individuals who will help brainstorm and plan activities within the Know Your Government, Know Your Issues, and Know Your Profession event series. Members will be in charge of arranging speakers, topics, and work with GRA's Association Management Company on logistical arrangements.
The Finance Committee will work with GRA's treasurer and be responsible for the association's budgets, revenues and reporting of all financial aspects of GRA to the Board and membership.
International Chapter Outreach
The International Chapter Outreach Committee will focus their efforts on identifying possible opportunities for expansion of GRA into other countries, assisting international members with chapter setup and member recruitment.
The Professional Development Committee will propose and promote opportunities for government relations practitioners to learn and succeed. This committee will work along side the Events Committee and Annual Conference Committee to identify topics and speakers for conferences, workshops, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.
State Capital Outreach
The State Chapter Outreach Committee will focus their efforts on identifying possible opportunities for expansion of GRA into various state capitals, assisting members with chapter setup, leadership organization, and member recruitment.
