Meet the Member: Cong. Brian Mast (FL)

The Government Relations Association (GRA), the fastest growing association representing the lobbying, government relations, fundraising, grassroots practitioner and public policy advocacy community of professions, is privileged to announce the latest in our popular series (#61) called "Meet the Member".  On Thursday April 28th at 8:30am, please join your GRA colleagues when we host Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18) for a lively breakfast discussion.

After graduating from high school in Michigan, Brian Mast enlisted in the Army Reserve and became a combat engineer.  In 2006 he transitioned to the active US Army and joined the elite 28th Ordnance Company in their explosive ordnance disposal unit.  In September 2010 while clearing a path for the Army Rangers in Kandahar Afghanistan, he stepped on an IED and tragically lost both legs. He subsequently provided explosive ordnance expertise to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and to the Bureau of ATF.   It was while recovering at Walter Reed that he determined he still had much to give in public service and decided to run for Congress. He ran for and won his seat in November 2016.  Today his committee assignments include House Foreign Affairs and Transportation & Infrastructure.

Please join us in welcoming Cong. Brian Mast (FL-18) on Thursday April 28th at 8:30.  This event will be a hybrid of both in-person and virtual.  Be there for the first "Meet the Member" event of 2022 -- and GRA's 61st since this popular series began.  Register today!
