Overview: Cong. Salud Carbajal was elected in 2016 and began his first term in January 2017, joining the key Committees on House Armed Services and House Budget. He has played an active role in supporting our military men and women in uniform, and -- more locally to his district -- remaining active on the vital environmental issues that have kept the natural resources of his Santa Barbara region protected and pristine.
Cong. Carbajal obtained his BA from UC Santa Barbara in 1990. He subsequently served 8 years in the US Marine Corps reserve, including active duty during the Gulf War in 1992. After the war he went on to obtain his MA from Fielding University.
