The Government Relations Association (GRA), the fastest growing association representing the community of lobbying, government relations, fundraising, grassroots practitioner, and public policy advocacy professions, is privileged to announce the latest (#75) in our popular series called "Meet the Member".  On Tuesday, August 9th at 12:30 pm, please join your GRA colleagues when we host Congressman Peter Meijer (MI-03) for a virtual discussion.

Cong. Meijer is a 4th generation resident of Michigan who graduated from East Grand Rapids High School and then enlisted with the US Army Reserves and was soon deployed as an NCO in an intelligence unit to Iraq.  After returning from Iraq in 2011 he completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University and joined Rubicon, a veteran-based disaster response organization, performing humanitarian efforts domestically in NY and OK and internationally in Sudan and the Philippines.  In 2013 he joined an NGO that performed work in Afghanistan, after which he went on to earn his MBA from NYU.  In 2020 he ran for and won his seat Congress where he now proudly serves his constituents of Grand Rapids, MI.
